    work from home = pulling my hair out. I couldn’t imagine doing this. Yes, you are providing for your family without the added cost of daycare. However, when I was home with my little girl, I played with her all day. It was hard to get laundry done or dinner cooked. As an infant she wanted my attention all the time. As far as older kids go, yes their mom is saving money by not paying for daycare, but at what cost. The kids are prob. watching TV or running around the house crazy while mom is talking on the phone or working. These kids aren’t getting any educational content to their day, they are watching TV too much, and they have no structure. This is completely not preparing them for Kindergarten.

    A mother who stays at home, usually has a husband who works and can contribute to paying all the bills. She does not earn an income. The mother stays with the children and takes care of their needs with a daily routine. Some mothers homeschool and some choose to send their children to a public or private school. She does the cleaning and the cooking and probably finds time to do some yard work and gardening as well.
    On the other hand she may or may not have a husband and she is lazy and only takes care of the children and doesn’t do anything else.

    A work at home mom, is just that, she works at home for whatever business she may run or she may work for someone else and have the priveleage of doing that at home via computer, all the while making money and getting paid, while taking care of her small children, cooking, cleaning, etc. Just like a stay at home mom, and she may or may not have time to homeschool as well.

    The basic difference is that a stay at home mom does work but does not get paid. And a work at home mom does.
