sister owns my moms house in Ind. She lives in another home on same property. Can sis stop me from seeing mom?
Keith P asked:
My sister owns the home my mom lives in. Sister lives on the same property in another home. I got a notice from sister’s attorney saying I couldn’t come onto property at all or I would get arrested for trespassing. Can my sister stop me from visiting my mother? My mother wants me to visit her. This is in Indiana and I live in Ky.

You cannot go on the property. Meet your mother someother place. Rent a hotel room and have her come visit you.
she certainly can stop you from going on her property!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
better have mom go to your house when you want to visit or she will be visiting you in the jail.
I don’t believe a letter from an attorney is the same as a restraining order. It’s a notice, but I think you and your mom have legal rights. I would post this question in the legal section, and maybe a lawyer will respond.
Well you have the right to visit your mom, does she have mobility enough to meet you off the property?
If so arrange to see her at a restaurant or a public place near to her home.
If not - then go see a lawyer yourself and ask for visitation rights.
Good Luck
